Through her fascination for bamboo and its potential to help alleviate deforestation and poverty in rural areas, Julia Washbourne launched the brand BAMBOA in 2008.
We at BAMBOA, based in the bustling heart of Hong Kong Island, design manufacture and market contemporary and attractive bamboo products ranging from tableware to lifestyle products to floors, decks and even bamboo fabric. We wholesale to retail stores, some of our customers include Lane Crawford, G.O.D., The Mandarin Oriental Spa Group, The Good Earth (beautiful retail chain store across India). We also retail a few of our collections in our cozy, centrally located Bamboa store in Hong Kong.
BAMBOA‘s goal is to provide beautiful contemporary bamboo products that help rural communities, support local artisans and encourage the use of a sustainable resource.
